How long can I keep my perfume?

How long can you keep a perfume? Shall I keep my perfumes in the fridge?

Perfume is very stable. You can keep a bottle for about 3-5 years from the date of purchase. You should buy your fragrances from reliable counters to make sure that they are not old when you purchase them. After 3-5 years, you will see that the fragrance will change in color and oxidize. You can still wear it, as it will not become harmful in any way. It will simply have lost some of its luster and spark. Keeping your fragrance in the fridge may extend its lifespan. A good strategy is to buy your favorite fragrance in a smaller container and try to use it within one year, that way, it will always smell fresh and good.

  • I visited Bermuda on a cruise in 2012. Walking around we came across Lili Bermuda…I wanted to buy one of everything. But, I settled on Fresh Water and brought it back to NY with me. 5 years later it was gone and I HAD to get more. I found your website and my Mom got it for me for Christmas. I love love love this scent for summertime….
